Amtrak Bans Passengers Bringing Galaxy Note 7 Devices On Trains
First Galaxy Note 7 devices were not allowed on planes now this applies to buses as well as trains as Amtrak is stopping people with Galaxy Note 7 devices from getting on the train or bus due to the explosive attitude of the Galaxy Note 7 devices.
The company announced this new update on Twitter and it has been noticed that even after what has happened 100 million people are still using Galaxy Note 7 devices.
Amtrak said in a statement:
“Effective immediately, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cell phones are not permitted on Amtrak property due to potential serious safety risks. This ban includes Amtrak trains, Thruway buses, facilities, stations, platforms, Amtrak vehicles, and as an item carried within a vehicle on Auto Train.”
Samsung has killed the Galaxy Note 7 devices and partners have also stopped supporting the device, the company is urging the customers to return and replace the device as soon as they can. according to the company:
“Any Galaxy Note 7 owner should visit their carrier and retail store to participate in the U.S. Note 7 Refund and Exchange Program now. We realize this is an inconvenience but your safety has to remain our top priority.”
As of right now we do not know what the staff onboard will do if they find a Galaxy Note 7 user but I think you do not want to be in that situation.
“We have encouraged airlines to issue similar communications directly to their passengers,”
If you own Galaxy Note 7 devices then it would be best that you return them to the carrier before you or someone else gets harmed. The device is not safe for you to be carrying around. Not only are you endangering yourself but other people around you that are unaware of what could possibly go wrong. Do the right thing and return it, exchange it.
