AMD Revenue Report Q3 2016 Higher than Expected
According to the AMD revenue report Q3 2016, the company has made a revenue of 1.31 billion as compared to the forecasted 1.21 billion. According to the AMD revenue report, the revenue increase recorded is + 23.2% as compared to the previous quarter.
AMD owes this to the successful sales on consoles that house custom AMD GPUs. According to the AMD revenue report the company has seen a year on year increase in revenue from 197 million dollars to 406 million dollars, this translates to 50 cents per share.
When it comes to the fourth quarter AMD forecasts an 18% decline in revenue with a 3% error margin. AMD shares lost 4% points as tax reports were posted. GPUs in consoles have lead to AMD coming up a bit and we know that AMD is working on deals with other companies as well.
Zen is coming up next year and we know that AMD is working on a super GPU as well. We have yet to see what Vega 10 has to offer as well. Keeping all this into consideration, it could be possible that AMD is on its way to getting back on track. We will have to see what the future holds for the company.
