BlackBerry DTEK60 Could Hit Europe This Month For €600
There has been a lot of commotion on the internet regarding the progress and future of BlackBerry. While people are still wondering what the future will hold for the company an unannounced phone from BlackBerry hit the internet and people were a bit taken back. The phone in question is the BlackBerry DTEK60 and it could be hitting Europe on the 25th of October for €600. The release date matches that of the GTX 1050 as well as the GTX 1050 Ti.
Pre-orders were open for a bit but because the phone has not been officially launched the pre-orders were taken down shortly afterwards. The BlackBerry DTEK60 was spotted in the US for a much lower price, $500. So at this point, it is not clear what will be the final retail price of the BlackBerry DTEK60.
What BlackBerry has in mind for the future of the company is not certain right now. There are rumours that the company might be going private and other analysts think that it is time for the company to sell itself. The mobile division of the company has taken a major hit and the company has been unable to keep up with the competition.
It seems that the company is not done with making smartphones just yet. Project mercury has already made the news and we will find out more about the BlackBerry DTEK60 by the end of the month so stay tuned for that.
This could be another effort to get back in the game, but I would not get my hopes up just yet. We will have to wait and see what the company has planned. The change in CEO and leadership might be able to push the company in the right direction.
What do you think about the BlackBerry DTEK60? Is the company trying to make a comeback?
