Samsung 8GB LPDDR4 Mobile DRAM Package Announced
Smartphones are becoming increasingly powerful over the course of the past few years and that is why more and more people are moving to smartphones and mobile devices instead of using PCs for conventional use. Of course, you will need a PC for intense tasks but when it comes to checking your mail and watching movies a mobile device has plenty of power. Now Samsung as announced the first ever 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package to take things to the next level.
The new 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package is based on the new 10-nanometer process. As more phones come with HD screens and larger displays, this new 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package will be able to keep up with the demand for mobile power and will enable the user to multitask better on these smart devices.
According to Joo Sun Choi, executive vice president of Memory Sales and Marketing at Samsung Electronics:
“The advent of our powerful 8GB mobile DRAM solution will enable more capable next-generation, flagship mobile devices around the world,”
Not only does the 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package provide more horsepower to the devices but it also is more efficient when it comes to power consumption. Samsung aims to rapidly produce this 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package. This will help the company to meet the increasing demand for high-density mobile DRAM.

As of right now slim ultrabooks already take advantage of the 8GB of DRAM but this 8GB LPDDR4 mobile DRAM package will help improve future flagship smartphones as well as mobile devices that feature high-end features like dual cameras and 4K video recording.
