Asus Wants To Introduce 4K ROG Notebooks With 120Hz
ROG notebooks are pretty cool as they are. Asus is one of the most reputed PC sellers on the market and there is a good reason why. The company pushes out some pretty great quality products year after year. In an interview, Asus has said that the company wants to introduce 4K ROG notebooks with 120Hz. Right now the company is working on 1080p displays with 120Hz ready in combination with G-Sync.
Asus thinks that 4K ROG notebooks will be possible due to the GTX 1080 GPUs. But they will need to be used in SLI and they have already started testing using these card and overclocking them 30% higher than stock with a continuous 60 frames at 18.4 inches.
Asus previously made a 4K notebook but that was not one of the 4K ROG notebooks. Rather it was meant for watching movies in 4K and not for gaming. The 4K ROG notebooks that Asus want to introduce now will be able to run games at 4K 60 FPS smoothly even in laptop form factor.
At 120Hz the refresh rate of the 4K ROG notebooks would be super high and this would be great for gamers although it might take some time for gamers to adjust to the refresh rate if they have been playing on a 60 Hz monitor.
4K ROG notebooks could be coming out in the next year or so and we are looking forward to seeing what Asus brings to the table and what other companies push out to compete with these laptops.
