Remember how Chrome becomes a pain in the ass when it uses a ton of RAM and slows down what you are doing? If you have a low-end to mid-range PC or have less RAM in your system then you know what I am talking about. Gamers generally have better hardware in their systems so it is unlikely that they will have this issue. With Chrome 55 you will not have this issue any longer. It is about time we had a change, considering that it is the most used browser out there.
There have been several tweaks and updates for the browser but nothing seems to work. I for one am fed up of when I have to wait for the browser to work properly. I mean it is the 21st century and I should not be waiting for the internet browser of all things.
How drastic is this decrease you ask? Great question. 50% is the number but this could vary as this would indicate ideal conditions but even if the RAM usage decrease is less than that we will be pretty happy. I know I will be. This will no doubt be a significant improvement as compared to what we have available to us right now.
The Chrome 55 should perform better than anything that we have seen before and to top it all of the team behind this claims that there will be future updates as well that will make the experience even better especially for users that have less than 1 GB of RAM.
Being a gamer, 1 GB of RAM seems century old and you should have at least 4 GB RAM, that is the standard, although a dying one. What do you think about Chrome 55?
