Upcoming Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Will Feature GP107 GPU
Leaks confirm that there will be an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti coming out and that it will feature the PG107 GPU. These two confirmations tell us that both these things exist. Something we were not sure of earlier. The GPU will be for mid-range gamers who will most likely be playing MOBAs or games at 1080p.
Word has it that there have been leaks of the GTX 1050 Ti and that the GPU features:
- 768 CUDA cores
- 64 texture mapping units
- 32 render output units
- 128-bit memory interface
- A bandwidth of 112.1GB per second
- 4GB of GDDR5 video memory
- 1,752MHz memory clock speed
- Base clock 1,291MHz
- Boost clock 1,392MHz
Be advised that these are leaked numbers and official numbers can differ quite a bit from what we see here. The GPU also as an optional single 6-pin power connector for better overclocking. When it comes to performance it seems that the GTX 1050 Ti will perform like the GTX 960 graphics card or AMD’s Radeon HD 7970.
It is rumored that the GTX 1050 Ti will cost about $150. Now this is weird. For a little more you can buy the GTX 960, which is much better, at least on paper. Pay another $40 and you could get the GTX 1060.
Plus this is the MSRP if we have seen anything this year it is that the vendors and aftermarket sellers do not follow the MSRP. Keeping all this in mind I find it hard to imagine who would want to buy the GTX 1050 Ti.
Only time will tell how well the GTX 1050 Ti sells but for now I am not sure that this is something that people in their right mind would be interested in. What do you think about the GTX 1050 Ti? Would you buy one? If yes then tell us your reason for doing so. We would like to know.
