AMD Zen Naples CPU Benchmarks; 32 Core, Launching Q2 2017
For those of you who do not know, Naples is the top of the line AMD Zen enterprise chip that is coming out next year. We know that Zen has been delayed to 2017 but word has it that the AMD Zen Naples will be coming around the second quarter of 2017. The server CPU market is a very lucrative one and AMD is looking to take the fight to Intel with this new line of CPUs. Here are some leaked AMD Zen Naples CPU benchmarks that you can check out.
AMD Zen Naples was announced by the company this year and it will be coming out later next year. The CPU will feature 32 cores. Naples CPU benchmarks show a multiple core score of 16957. The Naples CPU benchmarks in question here ran on 64-bit Linux kernel. The chip as a base clock of 1.4Ghz and a boost clock of 2.9Ghz.
There was a time when AMD was a proper competitor against Intel but there were some mistakes made along the way which had dreadful consequences for the company. But now, about a decade later, it seems that AMD will be coming back to face off Intel and take a piece of the server CPU market and these Naples CPU benchmarks show that AMD means business.
If Zen is what we expect then it could work wonders for AMD. It could also pose a great threat towards Intel.
