AMD AM4 Platform Motherboards Pictured; Zen & Bristol Ridge Compatible
We recently talked about the AMD AM4 platform motherboards and how they will be coming out soon. We also talked about the power that the AMD AM4 platform had to offer and it was incredible. Here we have some pictures of the AMD AM4 platform motherboards and some details that we can share with you. These motherboards are compatible with the following series of processors:
- Bristol Ridge
- Raven Ridge
So you have plenty to choose from and a clear upgrade path as well. Something we did not have on previous generation AMD motherboards. The AM4 platform features the entry-level A320, mid-range B350 and high-end X370 chipsets. You now get added functionality with M.2 connectivity, PCI-E gen 3, DDR4 memory and more with this platform.
From 7th Gen APUs to upcoming Zen-based “Summit Ridge” desktop processors, the future-ready AM4 platform features the newest I/O standards and an AMD commitment to support it into the future.
First of the AMD AM4 platform motherboards that we are going to talk about here is the Gigabyte M-ATX form-factor motherboard that is for the mid-range B350 chipset. It has the following features:
- Two PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slots
- NMVe M.2 interface
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- Four USB 3.0 ports
- Two USB 3.1 Type-A ports
- PS2 combo port
- Three audio jacks
- Dual BIOS functionality
- DDR4 memory
The second one of the two AMD AM4 platform motherboards that we are going to talk about is the OEM GA-B350M-D2 model. It is an entry level Gigabyte motherboard. It has the following features:
- 8-pin motherboard power connector
- Two DDR4 dimms
- Four SATA3 6Gbps ports
- Two USB 3.0 front panel headers
- One USB 2.0 front panel header
- PCIe 3.0 x16 slot
- Two PCIe 2.0 1x slots
