Nintendo And Genesis Emulators Work On Xbox One With Edge
It has now been confirmed that Nintendo and Genesis emulators work on the Xbox One via Edge browser if you are willing to do some tinkering that is. Previously, developers introduced this for Xbox One and Microsoft was not happy about this but the developers have not given up on the idea. You can see this video and check it out for yourselves.
This has been made possible due to an HTML 5 workaround and now you can play really old games on these Genesis Emulators. If you wanted to play Mario for some reason on a new generation console, well then now you can.
I am not sold on the idea though. I cannot wonder why you would want to play such an old title on such a high-end piece of equipment. Such old games do not require such high powered systems and you could play them on your laptops or your android device even.
Having Nintendo and Genesis emulators on your smartphone seems like a better idea to me. A great way to kill the time. I know games like Mario are amazing and classics of their time–something the new generation will not get but still. Mario on the Xbox One? That just seems dumb to me.
