Patent Filed; Samsung Hybrid Phone Running Windows And Android
There is no doubt that Android OS is more popular than Windows Mobile. It completely destroys the Windows Mobile OS. Oddly, Samsung has filed a patent for a Samsung hybrid phone. This smartphone will be able to run Android OS as well as Windows Mobile OS at the same time. While the majority of the people would not think twice when choosing between the two, I have had a great experience using Windows 10 on the Lumia series and I think there are others like me that will appreciate such a product.
I know that there is a dual-booting solution already available in the market but this Samsung hybrid phone will feature the two operating systems as if they were apps and you could easily switch between the two operating systems. Samsung phones already have multiple window setups so I think that this is how this Samsung hybrid phone would work.
On the other hand, it is safe to say that this Samsung hybrid phone is a niche product and the company will have to execute this product perfectly for it to be relatively successful. Plus running two operating systems on this Samsung hybrid phone will not be an easy job. Keep in mind that we are not talking about two apps here. These are two huge platforms that will need to be running alongside each other if not together with one another.
There also seems to be a resource allocation system for this Samsung hybrid phone. This means you could potentially allocate RAM and processor cores to the two different operating systems. This seems like a great feature keeping in mind the nature of the product in question.
What do you think about this Samsung hybrid phone? Would this be something you would be interested in? Let us know what you think.
