MSI Announces Z170A Gaming M6 Motherboard For Enthusiast Gamers
MSI has announced a new motherboard, Z170A Gaming M6, as part of its lineup targeted towards enthusiast gamers. The board, as the name suggests, is build off of Intel’s Z170 chipset for high end motherboards.
Since the Z170A Gaming M6 is basically designed for gamers, it goes for a premium look instead of the plain red and black common in other motherboards. The board sports a gray color scheme which although makes the MSI dragon blend into the board a bit, but it does end up giving the board stylish and unique look.
In terms of connectivity features, the MSI Z170A Gaming M6 features Lightning Gen2 USB 3.1 as well as Twin Turbo M.2 slots for extremely fast SSD performance. The board will support all the latest M.2 SSDs, NVMe and RAID with incredible performance thanks to the M.2 Genie function in the BIOS of the board.
The USB chip on board runs at PCIe Gen3 x2, allowing users to achieve twice as fast transfer rates compared to traditional USB 3.1 chips which can go up to a maximum of 10Gb/s. Coupled with MSI’s exclusive USB Speed Up feature, the Z170A Gaming M6 can deliver the best performance possible from a USB device.
