Reports Indicate That Google Has Killed The Nexus Phone Branding
The Nexus Phone branding has been with us for a long time since the Nexus One was launched back in 2009. It has been since then that Google has partnered with other smartphone manufacturers to give us versions of the Nexus Phone. The Nexus Phone lineup includes Samsung (Galaxy Nexus), LG (Nexus 5) and Huawei (Nexus 6P) among others. We are still waiting for two more phones from Google but it seems that the company is not going to be branding these upcoming smartphones with the Nexus Phone branding.
Sources indicate that Google will not be going with the Nexus Phone branding this time and instead the company plans to go with a better form of branding. This could mean that the Nexus Phone branding is no longer appropriate or maybe it was just time for a change after so many years.
Google usually gives stock Android OS with their Nexus Phone series but sources indicate that this too will be different now and the upcoming phones will have a different interface along with other tweaks which we are not sure about at this point.
What we do know is that Android OS Nougat has already been launched so these upcoming phones will give you something more than just the latest Android OS. This will be something rather interesting. Something to look forward to indeed.
Google is a well reputed company and is know around the world. If they have something new in the works then it is most likely that it is something big. This sudden change in branding may come as a shock to many but if Google has made a decision about branding then there will be a logical explanation behind it and we look forward to getting on top of why this is taking place to start with.
What do you think about this sudden change in the Nexus Phone branding?
