Samsung 14-nano Processors Mass Produced For Budget Models
Samsung has started to mass produce some new processors on the 14nm process. According to Samsung, the Samsung 14-nano processors are being mass produced to strengthen the company’s position in the budget mobile market as well as the Internet of Things. The Samsung 14-nano processors in question here are the Exynos 7570s.
These are majorly in mid to low-end phones. The Samsung 14-nano processors are 30% more power efficient, compared to previous generation versions that were based on the 28nm process. The chip also comes with wireless functionality which is WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Essentials for phones these days.
Hur Kook, vice president at Samsung’s logic chip business division, said the following:
More clients will be able to enjoy the improved functionality of 14-nano technology-based chips. We also succeeded in integrating various connectivity functions, and will continue to strengthen our foothold in the chip market.
Having said that, it seems that Samsung has plans for the future especially when it comes to the mid-range, budget mobile market. Samsung has incredible success with the S7 and S7 edge so far and the new Note 7 has also been appreciated by people worldwide. Now it seems that Samsung is looking to close the deal and dominate the market once and for all so that there is no room for competition.
This is how I interpret this Samsung 14-nano processors mass production. You might look at things differently, though. Samsung as without a doubt been doing pretty good these recent months and the products that they have been able to push out have been nothing short of amazing. Innovation is something Samsung has always strived for and we see that very clearly in the new Note 7.
We will let you know more about the progress Samsung is making when we have word. What do you think about this new development?
