Tekken 7 VR Content Will Be Exclusive To PSVR According To Game Director
VR gaming might finally be here but all the “big” games are still far off. One such title is Tekken 7 and back in 2015, when Sony announced Tekken 7 VR content, there was no mention of any exclusivity however, recently there has been confirmation that all the VR content in Tekken 7 will be exclusive to PlayStation VR.
The confirmation was provided by none other than Katsuhiro Harada, the producer and director of the Tekken franchise, in a tweet after a fan expressed disappointment over the fact that Tekken 7 VR content will only be available on PS4 and Sony’s own PSVR and not on Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
Exclusive PSVR content for PS4 = disrespect to PC??
RT@KL1M88 Exclusive 4K Tekken7 for PC in disrespect to loyal playstation tekken fans…

The tweet itself suggests that Bandai Namco doesn’t care a lot about fans on platforms other than Sony’s consoles, having been part of their family since the start and the reason PSVR is getting exclusive access to Tekken 7 VR content is to reward those loyal fans and PC gamers should just be content with 4K textures.
While there hasn’t really been any information as to how virtual reality will be incorporated into Tekken 7, the hype for it has certainly been enough to cause quite a stir over this news.
Bandai Namco previously suggested the game won’t be converted into a first person title for VR but the fact that is pretty much the first VR fighting game, everyone wants a taste of it.
It is possible that VR content might be limited to spectators who can watch the matches as if they were part of the game world. There is also the possibility of a side-mode in the game designed specifically for VR similar to Star Wars Battlefront.
Given this confirmation from Harada, it is now confirmed that while PC gamers will have 4K textures for their game, PS VR will be the only headset to support Tekken 7 when it launches in early 2017 and even if they can figure out a way to make PS VR work on PC, the game might not even have any VR related mode.
