MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GB OCV3 Graphics Card Introduced
It was all just a matter of time before we saw more and more vendors come out with aftermarket versions of the GTX 1060 3GB model and MSI is not backing away from the fight, so to speak. The company has introduced the MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GB OCV3 GPU. It is an impressive little thing and not bad looking either. It does not look exceptionally well but then again this is a budget gaming GPU and it will get the job done at the end of the day so no complaining there. The MSI GeForce GTX 1060 as you can see has a very compact and small form factor design to it.
The MSI GeForce GTX 1060 as you can see has a very compact and small form factor design to it. Plus it is a budget friendly card so small size and a small price to pay. Well, a relatively small price I guess. It is safe to say that the MSI GeForce GTX 1060 well get the job done if all you want is 1080p gaming. It will run popular titles like DOTA2 and Overwatch pretty well.
If you are a casual multiplayer MOBA player then this could be a great option for you to consider. The MSI GeForce GTX 1060 has the following features:
- 1544 MHz core clock
- 1759 MHz boost clock
- 8.00 GHz GDDR5-effective memory
- Single 6-pin PCIe power connector
- Copper-core aluminium heatsink
- Single 80 mm fan
- 1,152 CUDA cores
- 72 TMUs
- 48 ROPs
- 3 GB GDDR5 memory
- 192-bit wide memory interface
There has been no official price for the GPU from MSI but we expect that the official price will be around the $199 baseline. If that is the case then this is good value for money. Although you could argue that the RX 480 could be a better option and that too comes at the same price and you get an additional GB of VRAM if you choose to go with the option.
