Latest Version Of Nvidia Grid Brings GPU Monitoring Analytics
Keeping track of physical infrastructure is one thing but monitoring GPU analytics is another story entirely. The latest version of Nvidia Grid brings better tracking for the usage and optimization of graphical processing. Nvidia Grid will be coming out August 26th and will feature an analytics system which will allow you to track graphical virtualization.
Nvidia Grid will include:
- Discovery tools to query virtual GPUs.
- Insights on properties such as name displays supported, maximum resolution, frame buffer status, and license status.
- Utilization reports that track engines for 3D, encoding, and decoding.
- GRID Monitoring can be used with native monitoring tools, via virtualization and management consoles from companies like VMware and Citrix and custom applications.
Nvidia Grid seems like nothing big and a very ambitious tool as well. Having said that I am pretty sure that it will not be perfect the first time around and it will need thorough tweaking and altering before it gets anywhere near what Nvidia wants the Grid to be.
Tracking virtual GPU environments is no easy task and Nvidia will have to put loads of resources to back Nvidia Grid. But then again, if there is a company that can get this done then it would be none other than Nvidia.
