EVGA Water Cooled GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid Runs Both Cool and Quiet
EVGA recently launched the GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid which comes with water cooling. It is a GTX 1080 so you can expect great performance and it is overclockable. Besides all that, it comes with a loop out of the box so you need not worry about getting aftermarket parts if you are new to PC gaming or you just don’t want to go through the process.
This GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid could be a great water cooled option for your PC upgrade but it does not come cheap. It will cost you $730. The GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid does not use a reference PCB, instead it used a FTW edition PCB. So there is something to consider when looking at the big price tag as well.
The GTX 1080 FTW hybrid has better features and improves upon the reference model 1080. It has the following features:
- 10+2 power phase
- Two 8-pin PCI-E power connectors
- Dual BIOS
- RGB LEDs
- Backlit EVGA logos
- 215W TDP
- 1721 MHz base clock
- 1860 MHz boost clock
- One DVI-D
- One HDMI
- Three DisplayPort outputs
The fans run opposite to each other unlike regular fans and the water loop cools the graphics processor. The setup has a 120mm radiator to ensure airflow. All this ensures a quiet and smooth gaming experience with the power of the GTX 1080 at your disposal. The fans and the loop will keep the GPU temperatures in check and you will be able to achieve higher overclocking due to liquid cooling.
If a liquid cooled setup is what you are looking for then the GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid could be a great option to consider. If you are a PC modder then you would be in favor of custom liquid cooling but this could be a cheaper option for you to take a look at as custom liquid cooling can be very expensive.
