10 Series Mobile GPUs Coming Out This Month; 1080M, 1070M, 1060M
We have been hearing a lot of rumors about the Nvidia 10 series mobile GPUs for gaming laptops coming out soon and now it seems that the wait is short lived. Nvidia will be launching the 10 series mobile GPUs on August 17-21. These new mobile GPUs will replace the previous GTX 900 series mobile GPUs which we find in laptops today. The new series also includes the GTX 1080 Mobile GPUs.
Nvidia 10 series mobile GPUs will bring huge performance enhancements to gaming laptops as these Pascal GPUs are comparatively cheaper, power efficient and pack a punch. An all in one package, so to speak. The 10 Series Mobile GPUs include the GTX 1080M, GTX 1070M, and the recent GTX 1060M.
These will bring a better experience to the gaming laptop market and bring more power to your system than ever before. TPD and heat dissipation matter a lot when it comes to laptop gaming and these cards are less power hungry than their previous generation versions. This means better battery life and longer playtime on the go. These GPUs could prove to be the best thing for the laptop gaming market right now.
AMD has been looking into getting into this market and now that Nvidia has dominated the desktop market it seems that the company has the same thing in mind for the laptop market as well. We might see these two companies go at each other once again in an attempt to take control over the gaming laptop market.
As always competition is good for consumers as increased competition means better prices and promotions as well. Likewise, a competition in the gaming market between the two companies could mean better-priced gaming laptops for consumers. There are plenty of companies getting into this marketing segment which means further competition.
What do you think about these upcoming 10 series mobile GPUs?
