Pascal Nvidia Titan X vs GeForce GTX 1080, Former is 50% Faster
It seems that Nvidia is not done with the Titan name. Although the GTX 1080 did beat the last Titan X GPU it seems that Nvidia wants the Titan X to be the titan of all GPUs and so they want it to be on top. The Pascal Nvidia Titan X has been benchmarked here and we can clearly see that it is way more powerful than the GTX 1080. The Pascal Nvidia Titan X just blows the GTX 1080 out of the water in terms of performance. However, this performance does not come cheap.
The benchmark setting for this test is very extreme and I doubt that there is a GPU on the market right now that can perform better than what we see here. There are triple 4K displays in this test. Yes the Pascal Nvidia Titan X is powering three 4K displays and everything is set to the maximum setting with AA disabled. So there is no surprise that cards are only putting out a few FPS in this test.
Nothing from the AMD side reaching a double digit FPS. The GTX 980 Ti does not make it to the double digit mark either. The older Titan X and the GTX 1080 make it to 10 FPS. While the new Pascal Nvidia Titan X has a huge lead of 16 FPS. The highest we see in the test.
So there is no doubt here that just like the previous Titan X this new Pascal Nvidia Titan X is a great, powerful GPU. But I have to be upfront with you here and tell you that neither was that one cheap and this one is not either. This GPU comes in at $1200 and that is a bank breaker for many people. Some people might not think it is worth the price. I mean $1200 is high-end laptop money.
What do you think about the Pascal Nvidia Titan X? Is it worth the money? Will all that power be put into use?
