Android Notification Integration In Windows 10 Anniversary Update
All Windows 10 users are waiting for Windows 10 Anniversary update. The latest update not only brings some vital fixes but it also provides the user with some new features. One of these features is Cortana for everyone. You can also disable the digital assistant if you don’t want it to save your personal information.
New news about the Windows 10 Anniversary update is that now you also get incoming notifications from your Android device because of Android notification integration. This cool new feature will make things easier for Android users. As I am an iOS user I would love to have this feature on my Apple device as well.
I do not know if Apple and Microsoft would be willing to put aside their differences and make this thing happen but I do know that there are other people like me that want this feature. So food for thought here Microsoft and Apple. Make it happen already.
In order to use this Android notification integration on Windows 10 Anniversary update you will need to get Cortana on your Android device.
The following are the steps you need to follow for Android notification integration on Windows 10 Anniversary update:
- Install Cortana on your mobile device
- Sign into the same Microsoft account on both devices
- On the mobile app, go to Settings
- Click on Sync Notifications
- Choose which notification types you want to be sent
I remember similar features back when I had a Windows 10 Mobile device. This was one of the reasons why I loved my Windows phone. Unfortunately, due to the lack of apps in the Windows Store, I was forced to make the shift. But now I am pretty happy with my decision because I would not have been able to play Pokemon Go then.
