Intel AR Headset Coming Out Next Month; Rivals The HoloLens
We have seen revolutionary devices come out these past couple of years. AR and VR are also getting loads of attention and it seems that they are the future. How these things are taking over our lives and changing how we experience things is very interesting. Now we are hearing something new coming out. The Intel AR headset is coming out next month.
The company has not told us much about the device and the only thing we have as proof that it even exists is a single picture that the company showed. The device looks very realistic and has a modern, satisfying appeal to it. That is the first impressions but there is no looking around the fact that it looks like a merge between the HoloLens and the Google Glass.
If you could somehow combine the two devices the product would look similar to the Intel AR headset that we see here. The Intel AR headset is being called the Remote EyeSight. The Intel AR headset will come out at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco on 16th August.
“Intel Remote EyeSight (IRES) is a head-worn Smart (AR) Glasses solution that [is built] around Intel Collaboration Suite for WebRTC video capabilities to transform Intel’s enterprise collaboration experiences w/ secure, cost effective, hands-free and augmented reality technologies for improving collaboration efficiencies and reducing costs.”
The similar previous headset did not have AR functionality but this one does. The Intel AR headset will feature proper augmented reality, unlike the previous headset that only had a HUD display. Rumors about this the Intel AR headset have been all over the internet but now we will not have to wait much longer. It is coming out next month and all will be revealed then. We will find out everything about the device at the event and we might also get some demos as well.
