Leak: Snapdragon 830 Will Be Built On A 10 nm Process
We recently talked about how the Snapdragon 821 is faster and more powerful than the Snapdragon 820. Now there are news leaks regarding the Snapdragon 830, though it will not be coming out until March 2017. This leak claims that the Snapdragon 830 will be built on a 10 nm process.
We know that Qualcomm will not release a fresh version until next year because there is a pattern that the company follows like most firms in the industry. The Snapdragon 830 is not going to be arriving until next year and we are getting leaks about it already.
The leak has also been confirmed by the CEO of Qualcomm. So the Snapdragon 830 will be built on a 10 nm process. Previous chips are being built on the 14 nm process and going on step ahead, the 10 nm process will allow space for additional components or just a smaller chip.
A smaller chip also means faster processing and less power consumption so it can be a great advantage for the company. We recently saw how well the company is performing and this will just add to that success in the coming years.
At this point, we also know that the Helio X30 is being made on a 10nm process as well so it is likely that Qualcomm will go down the same path as well. They will be keeping up with the competition. Lagging behind is no more an option in this competitive industry. Those who stay behind are left behind and forgotten and I doubt that Qualcomm is going to take that chance.
The company has been doing very well and with the Snapdragon 830 coming out things will only be getting better for the company. We might see the Snapdragon 830 featured in flagship devices that are due in the second quarter of 2017. This is a possibility and we are looking forward to seeing what the Snapdragon 830 will offer.
