New Images Of Sapphire Radeon RX 460 Dual And RX 470 Silver Leaked
A few days ago some images of Sapphire RX 460 and 470 GPUs were leaked. Another batch of images that surfaced over the internet today provide a better look at both these GPUs which haven’t officially been announced by Sapphire yet.
Targeted at mainstream entry level games like Dota 2, League of Legends and CS GO, RX 460 and 470 are highly anticipated by those who don’t want to spend $200-250 on a GPU for 1080p gaming and are happy with low-medium graphics settings if it ensures good frames while staying in a budget.
Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Silver
The Sapphire Radeon RX 470 will be branded as Platinum or Silver GPU. Judging by the looks of these cards and their boxes, they are from review samples instead of direct production line images. Not a lot is known about the GPUs besides that the PCB has 2 phases removed from it and that RX 470 will feature 4GB GDDR5 memory with a Nitro-styled backplate.
Sapphire Radeon RX 460 Dual
The Radeon RX 460 will come as a 460 Dual and a 460 Nitro OC. The RX 460 is also expected to not feature any power connector and will instead be drawing all its power through the PCIe slot.
The images of RX 460 dual also reveal some other interesting details. The card is likely to be only available in Asian market and judging by the image, it will be featuring the highly power efficient Polaris 11 architecture. Seems like this will be main contender against Nvidia’s refresh of GTX 950.
XFX Radeon RX 470
Some images of XFX’s RX 470 Double Dissipation also surfaced today highlighting the ability to remove fans just like the company is offering with their RX 480. The card will be featuring a backplate and a modified PCB with just one 6-pin power connector. For Chinese market, the GPU will come in a box shaped like an X.
No price point or launch date of either of these GPUs is known yet.
