PowerColor has been teasing about an upcoming Devil version of the popular AMD RX 480 GPU. The wait is over now and the PowerColor Radeon RX 480 Red Devil has been officially announced by the company. I have to say they do know how to make a GPU look good. I mean we have seen a really ugly version of the RX 480 but this RX 480 Red Devil has to be one of the best looking yet.
The RX 480 Red Devil is based on the AMD GCN 4 architecture. Equipped with Polaris 10, the GPU is aimed at VR gaming. The RX 480 Red Devil will deliver smooth, seamless gameplay in VR and it is a very powerful RX 480 variant.
Key features of the RX 480 Red Devil are as follows:
- VR capability
- CPU-free game streaming or recording
- Direct 12 Ready
- Vulkan Ready
- Liquid VR Compatibility
- 8GB GDDR5
- 2304 stream processors

The RX 480 Red Devil features an ultra overclocking mode and a silent overclocking mode, you can choose which one suits you best. Double Blade III fan design has been adopted in this RX 480 variant which increases air flow and also prevents dust from depositing on the card. This will increase the durability and the lifespan of the GPU.
The RX 480 Red Devil also has a BIOS switch that can come in handy when an overclock fails. The switch will ensure that nothing goes wrong and everything functions properly by saving a previous setting that worked fine. The triple fan design will keep the RX 480 Red Devil keep when under intense gaming loads. You will not need to worry about the GPU overheating.
Not only does the RX 480 Red Devil perform well, it looks really cool too. PowerColor has come up with a killer GPU. The graphics card will be available starting from the 29th and will be priced at USD $269.
