Nvidia is known for producing some of the best graphics cards in the market, that majority of the gamers prefers to buy. However, Nvidia has never published any game, well until now. Nvidia has published a game and its a virtual reality game, Nvidia VR Funhouse, what is more interesting is that this Nvidia VR game was not even marketed.
Nvidia VR Funhouse is an immersive collection of arcade-style mini carnival games that is meant to showcase what’s possible in virtual reality. This Nvidia VR game was not only developed to show VR future, but also to showcase that how Nvidia’s own technology can make the experience more believable. Nvidia has also opened up the source code to the other developers so that they can utilize it in their own games.
The Nvidia VR game is available for free on Steam, but can only be played on $799 HTC Vive VR system. Vive itself is a good virtual reality system, only if you can mange with the challenging setup and spare a decent amount of physical space without any obstacles.
The minimum requirement for this Nvidia VR game is a GTX 1060 which costs aroung $249, however, a system which works with a Vive can cost $1000 or more. So basically this free game is for those gamers who have a lot of cash to spend on their gaming hobby.
In an ideal hardware environment the game has low latency, high frame rates, simulated physics and everything feels real. The game’s audio is amazing which adds more spice to the experience, also the games themselves are also very enjoyable.
