iPhone 7 Headphone Leaked, Zero Possibility of a 3.5 mm Jack
Apple can’t seem to catch a break from all of these leaks surrounding the iPhone 7. The first leak for iPhone 7 was the lack of headphone jack, which caused a lot of concern among the users. However, the users spoke out against it in the hopes of Apple changing its decision. Now, it seems that iPhone 7 headphone jack is less likely to be featured, if the latest leak about iPhone 7 headphone is to be believed.
The recent leak comes from Chinese website Webio, which is a screenshot of Apple’s new iPhone 7 headphone. Unfortunately the traditional headphone jack is making a come back on the iPhone 7, as these Earpods don’t require a headphone jack but lightning port.
The Earpods look identical to the existing version, and the 3.5 mm headphone has been removed in favor of a lightning port connection. The new design seems to focus on ensuring that wiring near the lightning connection is well protected and does not fray like the existing Earpods does.
However, this is not the only leak/rumor about the iPhone 7 circulating the internet. Recently a new rumor emerged suggesting that iPhone 7 will have a force touch home button. Home button has always been a problem for all the iPhone that has ever released, a problem that every user has experienced.
Replacing the home button for the iPhone is very expensive, so if the rumor is to be believed than Apple have saved its customers from a lot of trouble of fixing the home button.
Given that Apple has found a way to for its upcoming iPhone to support Earpods, so it might not be a problem at all that the headphone jack is missing from the design. However, this will limit the users to just lightning port Earpods, as with 3.5 mm jack users can use any headphone or hands free.
So given the leak are you finally coming in terms with the lack of headphone jack on iPhone 7? Let us know in the comments.
