DirectX 12 Support For Civilization VI, AMD and Firaxis Partnership
AMD and Firaxis have reported that the Civilization VI game will be built around DirectX 12. It will have features like asynchronous compute and multi-adapter GPU support. This is not the first time that AMD and Firaxis are coming together to work on Civilization.
Both companies also worked together to give Mantle support to Civilization: Beyond Earth.
With the game featuring DirectX 12 support, Civilization VI will not have a tweaked engine from the previous game as it has a new engine. This will also feature modding which will be something new and different from the usual expansion experience that we got with older games of the franchise.
City management is also different in this installment of Civilization. You will have better districts and cities in the game will occupy more space as they get larger unlike what we had previously.
The research dynamics of the game will also be different and more accurate. The game will look and feel more realistic. You will need to research things before constructing a building. Materials will need to be acquired and other small changes have been made that will make a huge difference.
The new game looks great and DirectX 12 support will make the experience even better. I am looking forward to playing this game when it comes out as i have played all the previous ones as well along with the different expansions.
The game is available for pre-order if you are one of those people who go for pre-ordering. Let me know if you are as excited about the game as I am.
