ASUS GTX 1060 Gaming Strix OC Information leaked; 8 Pin Connector
Like other manufacturers, Asus is also releasing their Asus GTX 1060 for their Strix series GPUs. And like other companies, the Asus GTX 1060 custom design will give you better cooling and higher overclocking out of the box.
As it was with the GTX 1080 and 1070 reference designs of Nvidia Cards.
The Asus GTX 1060 Gaming Strix OC has a triple fan design so you need not worry about the GPU overheating when gaming for long periods of time. As it is, games can be very immersive and if you are someone like me you are going to want to finish the game as soon as possible. The Asus GTX 1060 will allow you to do just that.
You also get an 8 pin power connector with the Asus GTX 1060, this could be for better overclocking. The card is rumored to support some beefy overclocking.
The Asus GTX 1060 has the following specifications on board:
- CUDA Cores: 1280
- Base Clock Speed: 1645MHz
- Boost Clock Speed: 1873 MHz
- Memory Speed: 8208MHz
- Memory Capacity: 6GB
Word has it that the 3 GB version will be rebranded and introduced later on this year as the GTX 1050. This would be a smart move for the company as the lower-end RX 480 has 4 GB of memory on board and a 3 GB card to rival it might not be a good idea.
The Asus GTX 1060 Gaming Strix OC looks great and will surely perform well also. We do not have word on the release date or the price of this GPU but with the release of the GTX 1060 coming close, I am sure we will find out soon enough. Less than a week till the GTX 1060 release.
