Overclockers UK Unveils Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming with Custom PCB and Metal Backplate
Overclockers UK have announced Gigabyte Radeon RX 480 G1 Gaming featuring a custom PCB, RGB lighting and a full metal backplate.
The Radeon RX 480 G1 Gaming comes with a factory overclock, but the manufacturer didn’t reveal the exact clock speeds of the GPU. The graphics card will benefit from Gigabyte’s WINDFORCE cooler 2X design, and will be available in both 4GB and 8GB variants.
Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming features the semi-passive fans, which will remain idle when the GPU is operating under lower power gaming. There is also a Fan Stop LED indicator on the top of the graphics card which is illuminated when the fans are not spinning, providing gamers an instant display of the fan status.
Speaking of the specifications, the Radeon RX 480 is based on Polaris 10 GPU featuring 36 compute units, and 2304 Stream Processors. The GPU has clock speeds of 1120 MHz base and 1266 MHz boost, while delivering over 5 TFLOPS of compute performance.
In terms of memory, AMD RX 480 is equipped with 8GB GDDR5 which is clocked at 2000 MHz (actual), or 8 GHz (GDDR5-effective). The card features a 256-bit interface, delivering a total bandwidth of 256 GB/s. The TDP is set at a sweet 150W and power is delivered through a single 6-Pin connector. Display connectors include three DP 1.4 and a single HDMI 2.0 port.
Pricing or availability details of Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming are not revealed yet, but we expect the card to cost around £250-£260 for the 8GB model.
