GeForce GTX 1060 Full Specs Leaked, Has 2 GHz Overclocking Potential
Sources have confirmed the GeForce GTX 1060 Specs. The budget powerhouse GPU, the GTX 1060 specs are indications that this card could have the potential to provide great overclocking.
This means that for the money you are paying there is, even more, performance that you can unlock from the GTX 1060 out of the box. Nvidia is looking to conquer the mid-range market with this budget graphics card.
The GTX 1060 specs include the 16nm FinFET Pascal architecture, which will deliver the power and control the power draw as well. This means that this card will draw less power as compared to previous generation cards. Aimed at the budget gaming, mid-range market, you get all these GTX 1060 specs starting at $249.
These Pascal-based GPUs have the latest Polymorph Engine 4.0. This allows dramatic geometry enhancements in VR and Surround Display applications. One of the major selling points of these series 10 GPUs is that they are VR ready and great for 4K gaming.
The new engine supports Simultaneous Multi-Projection tech that reduces geometry work and helps gamers that like multiple displays. The new architecture also gives significant amounts of memory conservation through delta color compression.
Almost a week from now, all these GTX 1060 specs will come to life when the GTX 1060 goes for sale. GTX 1060 specs are as follows:
- 1280 CUDA cores
- 80 TMUs
- 48 ROPs
- 1506 MHz base 1708 MHz boost clock
- 6 GB GDDR5 VRAM
