Sapphire RX 480 Nitro Gets Showcased in New Images
Even before the launch of reference model of RX 480, we were already getting some leaks showcasing custom AIB partner models. One of these leaks was AMD exclusive Sapphire who is planning to release a Nitro version of RX 480. Now we have got detailed pictures of Sapphire RX 480 Nitro.
Now the major difference you will notice is the change in the color from silver to block which ,makes this card look much more badass compared to the earlier leaked units. The Sapphire RX 480 Nitro features a bcakplate that covers the entire backside of the graphics card except the only place it does not cover is right behind the GPU.
The RX 480 Nitro features a DVI port, which is a nice addition for those who still need it, along with a button to switch on or off the LEDs, or switch between different modes of LEDs.
However, there will not be a Vapour-X model of the RX 480, that is because Sapphire RX 480 Nitro does not require any extra cooling from cooling chamber and neither a budget card can’t handle the extra expense.
The Nitro features 3 copper heat pipes for cooling purposes which is enough for a budget card. however, there is a possibility of a Toxic variant but there is no conformation for that too. With 3 copper heat pipis this graphics card might probably will be clocked between 1325 MHz to 1350 MHz for a factory OC configuration.
Sapphire RX 480 Nitro features completely removable fans, whose secondary purpose id to make cleaning easy, however, the main purpose for that is to reduce the RMAs. What is more interesting is that RX 480 Nitro will ship with a replacement fans in case the fans dies, so that users will not have to pay to send card to get repaired and returned.
