Highly Anticipated AMD RX 480 Graphics Card Close Up Pictures
The highly anticipated AMD RX 480 is not even a week away from launch now. People will be looking all over the internet for pictures of the GPU. Let me make your life a bit easier by providing you with the close-up shots of the AMD RX 480 GPU.
From this picture you can see that the AMD RX 480 has a single 6 pin power connector. This makes it draw less power, about 100W and makes it very economical to run. This also means that there will not be too much heat generated from running the card for long sessions.
The card reference design is a horizontal one, it forces air out of the card. Much like the reference design of the GTX 1080 and the 1070. But we will be seeing a design difference when vendors come up with their own custom versions of the AMD RX 480. You have your multiple display outputs at the back of the card and a very nice black finish all around. LED Radeon text is also featured on the side which will be facing outwards.
From the back, you can clearly see that there is a difference in the size all due to the cooler design. The card itself is smaller than the whole body but is slightly larger than the PCI-E connector. The AMD RX 480 is set to launch on the 29th of June which is only a few days away. AMD has made sure there is 25 times more stock than the GTX 1080 and 1070 so people do not go home empty handed.
AMD is looking to cater to the lower and mid range gamers and this might be more profitable than Nvidia\s approach as the majority of gamers do not have the funds to get a high-end GPU yet alone a high-end PC setup. With only a few days to go, I bet we will all find out soon enough.
