EVGA Pro SLI Bridge HB Available Now with Double the Bandwidth for 4K Gaming
Earlier this month, EVGA unveiled its new SLI High Bandwidth bridges for Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards. Today, the company released more details on these new bridges to which it is calling the EVGA Pro SLI Bridge HB.
These SLI briges are completely redesigned to pack new specs and features, as well as offer improved performance. They also feature an RGB color switcher that allows users to choose from Red, Green, Blue or White color.
EVGA Pro SLI Bridge HB will be available in separate models to support various card spacing configurations. However, these are only 2-way SLI bridges, you won’t be able to use them for Tri-SLI or Quad-SLI setups.
EVGA also gave us a glimpse at the underside of the new GTX 10-series compatible bridges, showing what the connectors actually look like.
As expected, the Pro SLI Bridges use both fingers of the SLI connectors on each card to connect to the two other cards together. This limits you to two card multi-GPU setups which is the downside sort of. However, the HB bridges are designed to deliver double the bandwidth compared to previous generation cards which allows for high speed 4K gaming, as well as optimized for Nvidia Surround.
As for pricing, EVGA Pro SLI Bridge HB costs $39.99, with only 2 slot spacing and 4 slot spacing bridges available currently. 0 slot and 1 slot spacing bridges will hit shelves in the coming weeks.
