BitTorrent Now Gives Content Creators 70% Profit Cut
BitTorrent is a big name, mainly due to the torrent downloading software. People who thought that the business was illegal think again. They are becoming legit with the BitTorrent Now.
An online on demand program like Netflix. But BitTorrent Now gives content creators 70% of the profits. Should Netflix and other content providers be worried? Yes they should.
BitTorrent Now has many studios and artists on board already and they are signing more as we speak. With such a huge percentage of the profits going to content creators it was a no brainer that people would be coming on board.
You can also check out BitTorrent Now on the web on your desktop or laptop. There is ad-supported streaming something we have seen before and something YouTube is getting rid of with YouTube Red. The Ad-less version of YouTube for premium users.
People are already using BitTorrent Now and there is plenty of free content for you to check out. This is not the first time BitTorrent has introduced paid content.
They tried to do it before back in 2014. Lets see how it goes this time. I do not know how this idea will catch on. There are already content providers that provide content on demand. Plus you also have YouTube that is free.
The concept of paying for content is just plain odd for some people. But this could catch on as BitTorrent is a huge name. Pretty much every PC user knows about it already. This can be used to an advantage. Other than that there is not really much that I can say at this point. We will all have to just wait and see what happens.
