ASUS Strix 10-Series Water Block, Full Cover Launched By EKWB
The Asus Strix 10-Series water block by EKWB comes in two types.
One is a clear, transparent top design in which you can see the water pass through. The other is a black top one. This is more of an aesthetic thing than a performance thing. Both will surely have the same performance and will keep temperatures in check when gaming and when the system is under load.
People like me who like to have a glass side panel and like to see the insides of the PC will want to have the transparent one. For me, it is something to look at and look forward to! It makes the PC building experience all the more personal and satisfying than having someone build the PC for you.
The Asus Strix 10-Series water block by EKWB is made up of nickel-plated electrolytic copper, as are other water blocks. You will also be able to run the loop in reverse and with low pressure pumps with this Asus Strix 10-Series water block.
EKWB is, however, taking pre-orders if you cannot wait and want to be one of the first people to get your hands on one of these. Shipping starts June 27TH, right before the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 480.
Both the transparent and the black blocks will be on sale for $149.99. With another $29.99, you can also get pre-filled blocks for your GPU. The company also says that the backplates will also be available for the card, but not now! That will be coming up later on along the line. This could be your solution to a water cooled GTX 1080 or 1070.
