VisionTek AMD Radeon RX 480 Specifications on Newegg Got Shared and then Removed
AMD Radeon RX 480 is set to launch on the 29th of June, but it seems that VisionTek version came up a bit sooner. Though we know the RX 480 Specifications already the clock speed was unknown. The VisionTek model has a base clock of 1120 MHz (5.16 TFLOPS) and a boost clock of 1266 MHz (5.83 TFLOPS).
According to these Radeon RX 480 Specifications it seems that there will be support for overclocking on the VisionTek AMD Radeon RX 480. Though it does not meet the factory overclock it does have a >5 TFLOPS rating. Still TFLOPS are great in theory but performance in the real world is another story.
We will still need to see some benchmarks but according to these RX 480 Specifications it is safe to say that it is in the GTX 980 performance domain. Which is no slouch and a respectable card. The RX 480 also comes at a much lower price than the GTX 980 so you are getting the same performance but paying way less for it.
According to the RX 480 Specifications, we can say that AMD has created a GTX 980 with a power draw close to that of a GTX 970 and at the price point of a GTX 960. Well played AMD, well played indeed.
With only a few days to go till the release of this GPU. I am sure that people all over the world are excited about getting their hands on one and being the first to give their reviews about the card. Leave the Youtubers to their work. If you are a consumer and are going to use it for gaming then I recommend waiting a bit till the stocks become stable after the release.
The GTX 1080 was being sold for a lot more just because of high demand and low stocks. So it would be best to wait a bit in order to pay the best price. But if money is no object then get one at launch day.
