Windows 10 Gaming Getting All Xbox One Games Through UWP
Over the years we have seen Microsoft neglecting PC gamers and focusing way too much on the Xbox brand. Even their attempts to please the PC gamers ended up in disaster and fractured the relationship. It seems like now Microsoft is trying to make it up to the PC gaming community with the Windows 10 Gaming experience.
With the Windows 10 Gaming players of PC and Xbox will be able to play with each other. Also good news for gamers that own both a PC and an Xbox, Xbox One games will now work on the PC too. This means you will not have to purchase separate titles for both platforms.
You could previously stream your Xbox One games to your PC but the Windows 10 Gaming experience is just something really cool. But PC gamers might have a certain edge in FPS games due to the accuracy of the mouse. On the other hand console titles do come with aiming aid. So we will have to see how this pans out.
I imagine playing Overwatch cross platform will be a great new experience. I would love to play it with my buddies that own a console. This is a really great feature for the gaming community and I believe this will bridge the gap between PC and console gamers.
With the Windows 10 Gaming experience, games will releases across Xbox, PC and mobile devices. I am pleased to see that Microsoft is finally realizing that PC and Xbox are equally important. Another cool feature is that this cross platform gaming experience also supports iOS devices so that Apple users are not left out of the equation either. Gamers will really be coming together in the future.
With mobile gaming getting a lot of attention this could be the way forward for Microsoft. There is no doubt in my mind that these features will be widely appreciated by gamers all over the world.
