The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Goes on Sale, Go Get Yours
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 is on sale from today onwards. The second card in the 10 series GPUs by Nvidia is more economical than its big brother the GTX 1080 but still beats the $1000 TitanX in performance and starts at only 379 USD and the founder’s edition will cost you another 70 USD. This is a great card to have in your system if you have the money.
This card is aimed at the high end side of things, for people that want to experience 4K gaming and VR. GeForce GTX 1070 packs 1920 CUDA cores, 64 ROPs, 120 TMUs and 256-bit GDDR5 memory interface. The GPU has 8 GB of memory. The card has a base clock of 1506 MHz and a boost clock of 1683 MHz. The Nvidia GeForce 1070 also packs three DisplayPort 1.4 display outputs.
With the new simultaneous projection technology you will be able to get the best possible scaling and graphics while gaming with a multiple display setup. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 packs some serious performance.
The GPU is going to go unchallenged at such a price point until the release of the AMD RX 480. People have their doubts about that card too though. Still there is noone that can stop people from going out and getting their GTX 1070s till they run out of stock.
While the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 is for the more budget oriented gamers it is not cheap. It is the king for now but with the highly anticipated RX 480 coming out at just $200 we might see huge competition headed Nvidia’s way.
Even if AMD’s solution does not come at par with the GTX 1070 if it is even close then it will make all the difference. At such a low price I would rather go for team red. I mean if you ran out of juice you could always have a cross fire later on down the line.
