RX 480 3DMARK 11 Score is P14461 With an Intel i7 4770? Equivalent to GTX 980?
Alleged RX 480 3DMARK 11 score has been seen on the internet and the much anticipated GPU seems to perform as claimed by AMD. The performance is close to that of an Nvidia GTX 980 and is more than capable of VR. With an Intel i7 4770 CPU Alleged RX 480 3DMARK 11 score was P14461.
Though it cannot be confirmed that the concerned GPU is indeed an RX 480, the GPU does meet the leaked specifications. The clock speeds and 8GB of VRAM match that of the AMD RX 480. It must be noted that this test does heavily depend on the CPU and different cards can only be compared with the same Intel i7 4770.
The RX 480 will come in two versions the less powerful 4GB version and a high end 8GB version. It is safe to say then that with such specifications you would not need to change your GPU for a few years if you got an RX 480.
The upcoming GPU will reportedly be 2.8 times faster than the previous generation GPUs. VR enthusiasts will benefit from the price point of the card and will allow more people to experience great gaming.
In terms of bang for the buck, keeping in mind the Alleged RX 480 3DMARK 11 score of P14461 and the low price, I would say that this GPU is great value for money.
With the AMD RX 480 gamers will be able to experience great gaming experience for a fraction of the price that previous generation gamers paid for pretty much the same performance.
The GPU will be coming out later this month and we will see some proper reviews and benchmarks then. Also E3 2016 is a few days away. You never know, maybe we will be treated by team red then with a game or two running on the new GPU. I do hope that happens.
