Corsair And G.Skill Revealed Their High Frequency Gaming Memory For Skylake
Every year tech giants come to the Computex and reveal their latest techs and gadgets to attract consumers and PC enthusiasts. Corsair and G.Skill were also present at Computex 2016, where they showed of their new gaming memory for Skylake, running on high frequencies.
Images were taken of both Corsair and G.Skills RAM during Computex. Corsair showed off its VENGEANCE LED series of gaming RAM along with its Dominator Platinum series. The LED lights compliments the beautiful design of the gaming RAM, however, looks are not everything and along with giving us the first good impression, Corsair manged to run their gaming RAM at 4,300 MHz.
Corsair gaming memory for Skylake will be available in the market in the second half of the June, and will be sold in two different LED colors; Red and Blue. Corsair also introduced a dedicated software to switch the LED colors of the RAM to match it with your computer.
Corsair gaming RAM will be available in kits of 8 GB (2 x 4GB), 32 GB (4 x 8 GB), 32 GB ( 2 x 16 GB) and 64 GB (4 x 16 GB).
Corsair demoed the Dominator Platinum series RAM to run at 4,400 MHz, through the use of company’s DHX Cooling Technology. In order to ensure better airflow and cool down the RAM more efficiently, the Dominator will arrive with bundled airflow bracket.
On the other hand G.Skill showed off its Trident Z series of gaming RAM, which can run up to 45,00 MHz. According to the details on the packaging the timings for this gaming RAM are 16-16-16-36.
Corsair noted that both of its Vengeance and Dominator Platinum RAM will be available in the second half of June, however, G.Skill did not provide any specific information regarding the availability of Trident Z series. Also the prices were not mentioned by both companies.
