The World’s First 4K 144 Hz Refresh Rate Monitor In The Works by Asus
It looks like the world’s first 4K 144 Hz refresh rate monitor will be introduced by none other than Asus. With the introduction of 8K and 4K gaming monitors getting more inexpensive every passing day, it was expected that something like this would eventually hit the market. The wait is over and it is official. Asus will certainly be launching the world’s first 4K 144 Hz refresh rate monitor.
This will come in the shape of a 27″ AHVA display panel and will feature tap display port 1.3 in order to fulfill the much needed bandwidth to run the amazing 3840×2160 screen resolution at a 144 Hz refresh rate. Past products of Asus have been amazing including the Strix lineup and the Republic of Gamers products. So we expect nothing but the best from Asus this time around.
Display port 1.3 is found on all recently launched cards including but not limited to the GTX 1080, GTX 1070 as well as the Radeon RX 480. Right now, it is not sure whether the world’s first 4K 144 Hz refresh rate monitor will feature the FreeSync or G-sync technology but if you ask me then Asus will most probably be inclined towards the Nvidia side. Still, nothing is for sure till the actual product comes to market.
It is safe to say that gaming on this 4K 144 Hz monitor will be a whole new experience. One that gamers will openly enjoy and appreciate. This is without a doubt a display for the gaming community and it will be yet another great product from Asus, a company that every gamers has learnt to love and appreciate over the years.
It looks like soon 4K will be the new standard for gaming and 1080p will become nothing more than a thing of the past. Companies like Asus will play a part in getting us there.
