Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 GAMING Features Windforce 3X Cooler And More
Ever since Nvidia revealed its GTX 1080 to the world, there have been benchmarks comparing this flagship card with others, and the results of these benchmarks indicate that GTX 1080 is best in the business. There have been a lot of custom GTX 1080 cards lined up, however, today our focus is Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 GAMING.
This card has all those features that one might expect from Gigabyte. The GTX 1080 G1 GAMING uses the company’s signature WINDFORCE 3X cooling system, which is equipped with three fans that keep the heat levels in check.
These fans feature triangular blade edges with 3D stripe on the blade surface which allows for 23 percent more speed for fans compared to the regular ones. The card also features copper composite heat pipes which ensure for better heat dissipation.
Moreover, the Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 GAMING features 3D active fan technology that turns off the fans completely in idle mode, so that your environment does not get disturbed by fan noise. It also has a LED indicator that alerts you when fans have stopped.
Given that this is a gaming card, so the gamers would be expecting some showoff features which would be visible from the side panels of their rigs, and what we do know Gigabyte does not disappoint. The card is shrouded in black and orange color. To make things more illuminating, the Gigabyte logo is lit up by RGB LEDs, which provides 16.8 million customize-able colors, and a slew of lightning effects to choose from.
Don’t worry I did not forgot about the performance specs. The stock GTX 1080 has a base clock of 1697 MHz and a boost clock of 1733 MHz. However, in gaming mode Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 GAMING has has base clock of 1695 MHz and a boost clock of 1835 MHz, and in overclock mode the card has a base frequency of 1721 MHz and boost frequency of 1860 MHz.
The card is not yet available for purchase, and obviously the price for this beast is also unavailable.
