ASUS Celebrating Its 10 years Of ROG With ROG Rampage V Edition 10
To celebrate the 10 years of its Republic of Gamers (ROG), ASUS has revealed a new flagship motherboard based on X99 chipset. The new motherboard is ROG Rampage V Edition 10.
According to ASUS, this board is “decked board for Haswell-E and Broadwell-E processors that’s already set three world records and 14 global first place finishes in 2D and 3D benchmarks.”
ROG Rampage V Edition 10 comes with a sleek layout of Aura RGB Illumination. There are a total of five independently controlled LED areas on the motherboard with a 4-pin RGB header to add more RGB LED to your boards if you are in a mood of a light show.
Behind the light show, this motherboard has some serious specs and high-end features which include eight DIMM slots supporting 128 Gb of DDR4-3333 (OC) RAM and four PCI 3.0/2.0 x16 slots, which makes a pretty setup for a four way SLI or CrassFireX configurations.
For storage purposes, this board provides 10 SATA 6 Gbps ports along with M.2 and U.2 connectors for PCIe based SSDs. The board also does not cut anything in USB ports, it has two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, eight USB 3.0 ports and six USB 2.0 ports.
Just put another on-board audio and you are looking at tons of I/O ports, but don’t worry these ports are pre-mounted so the motherboard installation is a little bit easier.
Now this is a motherboard that every gamer or PC enthusiast dreams of, and this board is designed to push the limits with overclocking, and to make it possible ASUS uses high end components in its manufacturing, along with a custom designed PWM controller. ROG Rampage V Edition 10 even has a dedicated water pump header which can support fans with high amps up to 3A.
