AORUS X7 Pro Laptop Revealed, Comes With Dual GTX 970M in SLI
AORUS has revealed its new AORUS X7 Pro laptop which seems to be an insanely powerful laptop, packing in dual GTX 970M in SLI for a display of 3K 120Hz.
AORUS revealed this monster of a laptop during Computex 2016, and this laptop will undoubtedly be one of the most powerful machines in the market, supporting dual Nvidia graphics card in SLI and a 17.3-inch 3840 x 2160 resolution display at 120 Hz, and a 5ms response time.
AORUS did not reveal the exact specs for its AORUS X7 Pro laptop, and it was being speculated that AUROS will feature the Geforce M versions of GTX 1080. However, before things could escalate the company revealed the specs.
The AORUS X7 Pro laptop comes with a quad core Intel Core i7 Skylake CPU, and supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 2133MHz RAM, M.2 PCIe SSDs, USB Type-C support, and HDMI 2.0. Since the 3K display of this laptop has response time of 5 ms, it is likely that G-sync will not be supported. Like the rest of AORUS X family, AORUS X7 Pro will feature the RGB fusion keyboard back-lighting, with color customization and enhanced patterns.
It seems like this laptop has been dropped straight from the heaven, and it will be interesting to see the benchmarks of different games on this laptop. I would be interested in benchmarking those games on this laptop, that even desktop PCs have hard time playing them.
If you are thinking to upgrade to a powerful gaming laptop, then AORUS X7 Pro is the way to go. However, if you want to wait for a even better gaming laptop, then you probably has to wait almost till October, as we previously reported that Nvidia is bringing its big guns (GTX 1080, GTX 1070) to the party.
Nvidia is planning to bring GTX 1080 and 1070 to notebooks, and these GPUs will not be GeForce M versions of their desktop counter part. These GPUs will be the same as those for desktops, just running on a lower TDP.
