Nvidia GTX 1080 Owners Are Reporting Fan Revving Issues
When comes to technology we all know that there are bound to be some problems like bugs in software and technical issues in hardware. These issues some time arise due to lack of proper testing or due to some unknown issues. Likewise, users of GTX 1080 are experiencing issues of fan revving for their new graphics card.
On the official Geforce forums users are complaining about the issue. One particular user CyraX_85 reported that every time he/she runs the game Overwatch on GTX 1080 FE from Zotac, the fan’s speed rapidly increases to 2800 RPM and then rapidly falls back to normal. However, replacing the GTX 1080 did not solve the problem.
Another user, coldfinger, reported the same problem. He/she reported that the issue surfaced while using the Vally Benchmark and games like The Division, Doom, Grand Theft Auto V and Elite Dangerous.
However, another user tested the fan revving issue of GTX 1080 in World Of Warcraft, and the fan speed slowly went from 2000 RPM to 3000 RPM.
The fan revving is not that big of an issue and can be solved through a BIOS update, and I am hopeful that this update will arrive within the next month, and will resolve random fan revving issue that the Founder’s Editions seem to be having.
