Nvidia Launches 368.25 WHQL Driver To Support GTX 1080 And VRWorks
Recently, Nvidia has been releasing new and improved drivers for its GeForce graphics cards. The chip maker has just released a new version of GeForce driver, 368.25 WHQL, for the latest GTX 1080.
It is important to mention that this driver does not give any performance boost or game optimizations, so if you looking for a driver that gives you performance boost, it is best you skip it. This driver might be same as the previous version of GeForce driver launched earlier this week, as this is only for supporting Nvidia’s latest card.
The 368.25 WHQL not only adds support for GTX 1080 but also includes a support for the new VRWorks features introduced with GTX 1080. To be specific, this driver supports Lens Matched Shading which adjusts the vieweport to better match the lenses of a virtual reality system.
It also includes support for Single Pass Stereo, which improves performance when rendering to the headset’s two viewports.
You can download this new driver from official Nvidia download site, or you can let the GeForce Experience download it for you automatically.
However, considering that this driver does nothing but adds support for GTX 1080 and VRWorks, it is probably not worth the download if you don’t own the latest flagship card.
