NDA for AMD’s Polaris Tech Day Ends on June 29th; New Radeon Logo & DGLee’s Liveblog
A few days ago, Kyle from Awesomesauce Network confirmed in his videocast that AMD will reveal key details about Polaris architecture during a special event in Macau taking place between 26th – 29th May. The information disclosed to editors will be under embargo so it won’t be available to public for next few days.
Well this Macau event, called the Polaris Tech Day, has just started, and according to recent reports, reviewers are asked to sign an NDA paper as they arrive. Leaked photo of this NDA paper shows that the date expires on June 29th at 9 am ET, which is when we might be seeing first reviews of Polaris based graphics cards.
The expiry date of June 29th could be a bit surprising considering this is almost a month after June 1st Computex event, where AMD will unveil Polaris GPU updates to the general public. At the same time, it does make sense since the official ‘hard launch’ of Polaris GPUs is planned for early July.
The leak also reveals a new RADEON logo, which confirms the recent speculation that AMD is giving a face lift to its old logo. You can see some interesting stuff happening at the Polaris Tech Day thanks to Daeguen Lee’s Liveblog.
