Microsoft Hijacking PCs to Upgrade to Windows 10 Without Permission
Ever since Microsoft released its free Windows 10 OS, the company has been trying different methods to get owners of Windows 7 and 8 to upgrade to the latest version.
This started as small miss-leading pop up on desktops and then it escalated to Microsoft upgrading its users OS to Windows 10 by sneaking the OS as recommended upgrade.
The point of giving this free OS upgrade to the owners of Windows 7 and 8, was that the upgrade was meant to be optional. Now, it seems that Microsoft have become aggressive in its ticks to upgrade its user’s OS and violate their right to not upgrade.
Microsoft is not giving any choice to its Windows 7 and 8 users, now the “Get Windows 10” pop up shows the date which Microsoft have decided to upgrade user’s OS, and not giving any option to cancel it; you can just delay the update.
By closing the window will not stop this update either, the only way to stop this update is the reschedule option. As if users were not frustrated by the automatic upgrade to Windows 10.
An artist has drawn some manga which summarizes the frustrations of Windows 10 upgrade. You can checkout the manga by following this link.
To stop this upgrade, there are some third party software on the Internet that can help you, and can save you a lot of trouble. If you don’t want to use third party software, then you will have to wait till July 29 when Microsoft will pull its free Windows 10 upgrade.
