Two Moto G4 Models Launching Tomorrow As Benchmarks Reveal Specs
It looks like Motorola is launching two new Moto G4 2016 models, the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Those might not be the final names but we’ll know pretty soon as the new models are expected to arrive in May, probably on Tuesday 17.
The information comes via Roland Quandt, according to whom the Moto G4 features a 5.5-inch screen, a 13MP main camera and 16GB of internal storage. Serial leaker Evan Blass recently tweeted an image of the Moto G4 (shown above) calling it the “little bro” to the Plus model – although it appears that both models will sport the same screen size.
Recently, Geekbench 3 benchmarks for the Moto G (4) hit the web revealing some further specs. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC and 3GB of RAM, while running Android 6.0.1 out of the box. As for benchmark results, the Moto G scored around 700 in Geekbench 3 for single-core and 3100 for multi-core.
The Moto G4 Plus, on the other hand, features the same 5.5-inch screen along with a 16Mp rear camera and 16GB of storage. What’s unique about G4 Plus is that it has a square home button containing a fingerprint scanner just below the homescreen.
Further, both the Moto G4 and Plus models, will be available in black or white colour options, but there is no mention of the Moto Maker which was made available for the Moto G 2015 to customise various elements.
